This 6th ICCIS conference welcomes papers on various sub-themes. Among others are:
- Representations and visual narratives of gender, social class, body image, and ethnic identities
- Cultural hybridity
- Cultural appropriation
- Cultural memory and imagination through the tangible and the intangible heritages
- Communication and visual rhetoric
- Digitization and visualization of cultural objects
- Performativity and visual technology
- Religious images, philosophical images and metaphors
- Cultural heritage and transmedia storytelling
- History of Chinese Diaspora in text and visual culture
Such diverse sub-themes reside in areas of visual culture to be explored and presented. They encompass but not limited to:
- performing arts,
- music,
- painting,
- calligraphy,
- sculpture,
- architecture,
- poster,
- sticker,
- film and all digitally-generated visual forms.
Participants will have the opportunity to present their papers as either a paper presenter in a parallel session, or a poster/artwork presenter in a mini-exhibition.
